Position Available

Cresset House is a Midrand based non profit organisation offering residential and work facilities for 54 adults with intellectual disabilities. Our residents, or villagers, as they are called, are provided with a ‘home away from home‘ and the opportunity to develop skills through meaningful activities in our different workshops and work areas. These include an organic vegetable garden, 10 vegetable tunnels, a bakery, wood workshop and handcraft centre.

Residents live on the 11 hectare property in 6 houses with support, guidance and care being given by live-in house parents, house mothers and co-workers.

We have a vacancy for a single mature woman as a live-in house mother to start in September or October 2011.

Requirements: Sober habits, drivers’ license & own car, no live-in dependants, the ability and patience to work with people. Training will be provided.
